  • We enrolled our son at Kiddie Academy of Kenmore, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. From the first day, the classroom environment did not feel welcoming. The teachers did not engage with us or our son in a warm or supportive way, which made an already difficult transition even harder. Our son is normally social and communicative, but he often seemed ignored when trying to interact with the teachers, which caused him visible distress. During the first couple of weeks, we saw very little effort to help him transition or provide emotional support. Even during drop-offs, when he was upset, we did not see consistent attempts to comfort, engage, or redirect him. We were also concerned that the lead teacher often appeared distracted and not fully engaged with the children. We observed several interactions that we found concerning and inconsistent with the level of care we expected. At times, it seemed that some children received significantly more attention than others, and our son often appeared overlooked. We also witnessed instances where children were spoken to in a harsh tone or redirected in ways that we felt lacked patience and sensitivity. Overall, we felt that the level of support and attention our son received was not what we expected from a childcare center. Over time, the experience appeared to negatively affect him. He developed separation anxiety, sleep disturbances, nail biting, and behavioral changes that he had not shown before. Despite raising our concerns, improvements were inconsistent, and we ultimately decided to withdraw him. What confirmed our concerns was what happened afterward. We enrolled him in a different childcare center, and within about a week he had adjusted to his new classroom. He now happily attends school, has positive relationships with his teachers, and is thriving in the new environment. The contrast between the two experiences has been significant, and we are very happy with the professionalism, warmth, and support provided by his new teachers. Based on our experience, I encourage parents to carefully observe classroom interactions and how teachers support children during the transition to a new environment. For young children, especially those who may need extra reassurance, a warm, patient, and emotionally supportive approach can make all the difference in helping them adjust successfully.

  • We had our son here in the infant room for 1 month and pulled him out into a better daycare after that 1 month. I would not recommend this center based on our experience. The major problems we observed: - Infant class is cue based, but the teachers within the infant class repeatedly were missing/ignoring major cues from our son, on a consistent and repeated basis. At 11 months, he was often coming home having only had 1 nap which he had because he simply passed out after teachers missed all the cues. Our evenings and nights were disaster since he was overtired every evening. - The teachers were coming in and out, there weren't consistent two teachers throughout most of the day, lunchbreak and early morning/evening excepted. In our new daycare, in the core hours, there are 2 consistent teachers except for lunchbreak and early mornings/evenings. When we came to pick our son at 3PM, the current teacher wasn't able to answer basic question such as "Did he have his 2nd bottle?", she said "I didn't give it to him and but I wasn't here long" - The administration seem to be listening, but lot of problems that we saw, including those we highlighted above, should really be proactively remediated by them, not repeatedly raised by us. We did not also see substantial improvement in avoiding the major misses. I am confident our expectations are reasonable/realistic, because our new daycare matches them pretty well, so I don't think that this is down to us having unrealistic expectations, relatively speaking this daycare center is simply not very good.

  • I want to share my appreciation for the care and attention Kiddie gives to my baby. My baby went to Kiddie when he was 2, the warmed team celebrated birthday for him and help him a lot to adjust to day-care well. Highly recommend our teacher Ms. Maria! The staff there are very nice, especially the teachers, even though the teacher that is not responsible for my kid’s class, they remember my kid’s name and call him each time warmly. Besides, the teacher turnover rate is very low. Highly recommended!

  • Kiddie Academy Kenmore has been a wonderful place for our child to grow, learn, and thrive. The teachers are nurturing, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s development. The curriculum is both educational and fun, blending play with early learning in a way that keeps the kids engaged. Our child has made so many great friends, and it truly feels like a warm, welcoming community for both children and parents. One of the highlights has been the variety of fun events organized by the staff throughout the year—everything from themed dress-up days to seasonal celebrations, all thoughtfully planned to create joyful memories. We've seen such positive growth in our child’s confidence and social skills. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a safe, supportive, and inspiring preschool environment!

  • We love the Kiddie Academy of Kenmore. The environment is very open and fun from the moment you walk through the door. They offer curriculum based learning and we've seen our daughter excel during her time there. We are confident she's going to be ready for Kindergarten when she graduates from the Kiddie Academy. They've also recently hired a new Program Supervisor recently, Jolyn, who is AMAZING. I think she's the best thing to happen to the academy since we've been enrolled. She has brought a whole new energy of FUN and open and regular communication. There have been a lot of positive changes since she started, which only makes me recommend it more. I do agree with other comments that they've struggled with maintaining staff recently, however I do feel like the changes Jolyn is making will hopefully help with that. We've been very fortunate to have good teachers thus far and the newest one they've hired for my daughter's class has also been a positive addition.

  • Our daughter has been to Kiddie Academy Kenmore for over a year now and loves it. The team is doing an amazing job day in day out taking care of the kids and are genuinely interested in the well being and development of all the kids. Teachers we worked with are passionate about their jobs and were a great help to us as first time parents. The facility is very clean and offers lots of educational toys. We love that they take the kids outside twice a day, rain or shine. And the curriculum is comprehensive very early on. Thanks you Kiddie Academy Kenmore Team for all your help and hard work keeping our daughter safe and sound.
