We absolutely love Purple Dragon Preschool. I have four children, and the first three attended Purple Dragon — our fourth is there now. Ms. Mila and Mr. Yurei and the rest of the staff are amazing teachers who care deeply about their students and treat it as a true school, not a daycare. All three of my older children were reading and doing math before kindergarten, and their teachers at Westwood View Elementary have consistently commented on how well-prepared they were thanks to their time at Purple Dragon. Just recently, my 2nd grader mentioned that they’re just now learning things Ms. Mila taught back in preschool! Ms. Mila sets high expectations — families are encouraged to do homework and read with their kids — and the results speak for themselves. If every preschool were run this thoughtfully, with this much heart and structure, the world would be a better place. We consider Ms. Mila a friend and will always be grateful for the incredible start she and her team gave our kids. Highly recommend!
Michael ElsonOct 18, 2025My daughter Wednesday is 2 and started at Purple Dragon Preschool in late September. Before that, she was at Primrose. I was initially a bit nervous since Purple Dragon is more structured and has a lot of vegetables on the menu — but honestly, we’ve had such a great experience. Clean school and cost friendly. We saved about a hundred per week going here. Makes a difference for our growing family! I can tell my daughter is well loved - she hasn’t once mentioned her old school ha! Purple Dragon doesn’t have an app, but I don’t mind. Ms. Mila sent me pictures during Wednesday’s first two weeks, which was really thoughtful. She also told me to check the papers in my daughter’s backpack daily — now it’s become a fun little ritual we do together while dinner is in the oven. I can tell this week they’re working on D & E vocabulary, farm animals, coloring, and colors. We're also practicing pulling pants up and down to get ready for potty training. Ms. Mila even sends home adorable magazine cutouts as “homework” to help with Wednesday’s speech. It’s small touches like that that make a big difference. A core memory for us: on her second day home from Purple Dragon, Wednesday was dancing and singing their school song all over the house. Chris and I looked at each other like, “Okay… she *loves* this place!” So far, so good! My daughter is happy, eats vegetables *by the bowl* (just wow!), and even though it’s a bit out of the way for us, I truly can’t imagine her going anywhere else. Thank you Ms. Mila & Ms. Yoselin — we’re so grateful for you!
V AdamsOct 13, 2025We did not have a positive experience here. The staff seem to follow a very traditional approach with children—often pushing them to participate rather than encouraging them in a supportive way. There is also little transparency about how children’s skills are being developed on a daily basis. When you ask questions or share concerns, the responses are not very polite, and at times even come across as rude.
Alex TOct 11, 2025Our child goes here and loves it. Ms Mila cares very deeply about all the children enrolled here and makes sure they are loved and achieve. Would not hesitate to recommend to other parents.
Hayden WoodsOct 2, 2025Arvind loved it and had great fun learning being part of it. Highly recommend for anyone wanting advanced reading and writing skills for their prior to their children starting kindergarten in public or private school. the foundational knowledge help the children thrive in their further growth.
Venki MSep 24, 2025I called to see how much tuition was. The lady who answered the phone was very rude. I'm moving from KCK to KCMO. After stating this she had asked why would you like your daughter enroll. I responded, "Because of the multiple language program and karate." I was informed that karate wasn't no longer a practice they do. Then she proceeded to tell me that it doesn't make sense why I would pay for a couple months. Then I asked to enroll for the next upcoming year. No information was given to me as far tuition price, or how to go about the process. The tone of voice goes a long way when speaking to others. The representative who answered should of conducted herself in a more professional manner.
