  St Mark is truly an exceptional ECCE experience! We have sent both of our kiddos here and recommend them to everyone looking for a preschool. St Mark Preschool is a high quality childcare setting with the most genuinely loving and supportive staff. They are here for your child and you whether it’s your first rodeo or you fourth, they have all the experience and love to share. The staff turnover rate is extremely low, which is both great for the children’s learning and staff morale. The outside play space is a dream and staff work tirelessly to keep it a truly magical environment for the kids to explore and learn. The teachers are engaged and dedicated to a play based experiential learning environment with deep connections to Regio Emilia theory. Throughout the school children’s art is thoughtfully displayed and celebrated. My oldest child went through three years at St Mark and then on to Kindergarten and I had multiple teachers at his public school ask me where he had gone for preschool because he was so “kindergarten ready!” I cannot say enough good things about St Mark. This school is a true gem of a school and in my field of work I see thousands of ECCE schools across the state of Virginia.

  St. Mark’s has been the biggest blessing to our family. The teachers are so organized, intentional, professional, and caring. Our son has some of the coolest experiences, has a very organized curriculum, and the diversity of activities has caused him to excel. The outside play area allows him and his classmates to be creative, and we love how the school has the children play outside with all kinds of weather (with appropriate gear).

  Our soon-to-be four year old has attended St. Mark’s for just over a year now, and we have been so thrilled with the teachers, the staff, and the environment. They have outside water play days, touch-a-trucks, music class, chapel, and art projects to keep his busy mind engaged. Communication is great as well. We are so thankful for Ms. Rachel and Ms. Elizabeth (and the rest of the staff/teachers) for their amazing dedication to making St. Marks the place it is.

  St. Mark Lutheran Preschool has been a great fit for our daughter. One of the most remarkable aspects of SMLP is the exceptional team of teachers who work tirelessly to create a loving and inclusive atmosphere for the children. The teachers genuinely care for every child's well-being, creating a sense of security and trust that we greatly value. Communication is easy, and staff turnover is very low. Our daughter is so excited about school each day, where she gets to explore the awesome outdoor space, jump around in music class, or have special story time with her friends.   St Mark LPS has been a fabulous place for both our daughter and now our son. It is a warm, inclusive community that is evident the moment you walk in the doors. We recommend it to any of our colleagues in need to quality childcare. Over our last three or more years involved with the school we have seen a very stable workforce of teachers. The children look like they are having an amazing time learning, playing, and exploring in the daily updates. My wife and I have often commented to one another how we wish we could just stay there when we do drop offs in the AM.
