Questions parents ask about Heritage Preparatory School
Is Heritage Preparatory School a licensed child care provider in Florida?
- No. The Florida Department of Children and Families lists Heritage Preparatory School as "Exempt", which means it operates without a DCF child care licence rather than under one. Exempt providers remain on the DCF public record under record number X09OR0087, and Florida still requires background screening of their staff, but they are not licensed and are not inspected on the same schedule. Confirm current standing with DCF before enrolling.
Does Heritage Preparatory School offer free VPK?
- Yes. Heritage Preparatory School is on record with Florida DCF as a Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) provider, so eligible 4-year-olds can attend the state-funded program here at no cost. Confirm current VPK enrollment with the provider.
Is Heritage Preparatory School a Gold Seal provider?
- Yes. Heritage Preparatory School holds Florida's Gold Seal Quality Care designation, which requires accreditation by a DCF-approved accrediting association in good standing.
Does Heritage Preparatory School accept School Readiness subsidies?
- Yes. The DCF record shows Heritage Preparatory School participates in Florida's School Readiness program, so families approved for child care assistance through their local Early Learning Coalition may be able to use it here.
What are Heritage Preparatory School's hours?
- Weekday hours listed on its Google business profile are 7:30 AM–3:30 PM. Listings change, so call ahead to confirm.
How many children can Heritage Preparatory School care for?
- Heritage Preparatory School is licensed for up to 49 children. Licensed capacity is a legal maximum, not current availability or enrollment.
Has Heritage Preparatory School had any licensing violations?
- Florida DCF has recorded 4 inspections at Heritage Preparatory School, none of which cited a violation. Reports are published by the state and summarized as reported; a finding is a cited standard, not a judgment of overall quality.
